Encaustic Wax Painting

Here is a painting I did a few years back using encaustic wax. I really had a lot of fun doing it. So, i thought I would share it.

I am hoping that I will get another opportunity to work with encaustic wax in the future. It was a fun medium to work with. Since I only did this and one other painting I really did not get a feel for how to control the outcome of the painting, but I got enough of a taste to know I liked it!
